First Aid Response

Training by LW Management

The First Aid Response (FAR) Course is a newly revised course that is replacing the Occupational First Aid Course.

The First Aid Response course is for anyone wanting to learn how to recognise and care for people with life-threatening injuries before the arrival of healthcare practitioners. If you require basic first aid training as part of your job then it’s also for you. This could include non-healthcare personnel, sports coaches, teachers and parents as a very small example.

This 3-day is now measured against the QQI Level 5 Occupational First Aid and is acceptable in the workplace as the qualification to fulfil the Safety & Health General Application Regulations 2007-2015. The course covers all the essential aspects of Occupational First Aid Training including the skills to give effective life support, diagnose & treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty

Where’s it on?

We host our courses in our Cork training centres. If you have a need for onsite training for your company then please contact us via the contact form below.

Who’s it for?

Anyone looking to provide or coordinate first aid as a qualified first aid responder.

There are currently no prerequisites that you need for this course. If you are considering this course then you should be physically well enough to carry out CPR as well as other practical skills. These would include attempting to relieve the blockage in a casualty  who is choking, placing a person in the recovery position and putting bandages on injured limbs.

Pre-course requirements: None
